Number 10.  Not applying primer 

Primer is used to simply tone down the overall shine to the face caused by oils in the skin. When wearing makeup primer not only smooths the over all look of the skin it also produces a matt effect.

  

 9. Mismatched foundation 

Not colour matching your foundation when buying can leave you with a month of added powered and blusher coverage. Before applying your lipstick exfoliating the area will get rid of any dead skin, soften and smooth the area. Next applying lip liner not only helps you apply your lipstick more accurately it also provides you with the more defined look.  Once you have applied your first thin layer of lipstick apply the second in a light, gentle motion. When the second layer has settled blot the area with a tissue and there you have it. perfect lipstick. 

5 Over the top Eyebrows 

Too defined, thick or thin eyebrows can throw off the over all look of not only your makeup but your face shape. Applying a thin natural coloured pencil with extremely light shading can give a much more professional finish. 

4 Over the top eyelashes 

Plastering each eyebrow in as much mascara as possible can not only be extremely difficult to discard of and damage your eyelashes but it also brings down the overall class of the makeup. Brushing your above your eyelashes in a downwards motion before  brushing in an upwards motion not only separates the lases it also makes them more manageable and  easier to execute.

The application of fake tan can be a nightmare to some, clinging to dry skin and becoming patchy id very common however it doesn't have to be. Exfoliating the skin before a fake tan application gets rid of any dead/ dry skin and helps the tan develop a much more even complexion.

Bending is the key attribute when contouring and must be used on each section of makeup.

With this step by step tutorial you will be able to create your very own Halloween themed nails.

Step 1 Priming your nails 

To prime your nails you will firstly need to remove any trace of oils or grease form your nails. Acetone nail varnish remover is perfect for removing grease however it also damages your nails so use little and less often. After doing this apply a base coat as this will give you a firmer nail and and easier base for your nail vanish. 

Step 2 Applying your main colour

When applying your main for example in this picture black always remember that less is more.  Painting your nails too quickly and think may be more liable to smudge and chip Applying two thin coats will give you that professional salon look.

Step 3 Web Application

With either a nail art brush or a nail varnish pin tip apply three straight lines starting from the top left corner of the nail and gliding the colour across the nail leaving three long white web looking stripes.  After you have completed the three straight lines you will then join each section, joining your nail end to the web line creates that pristine web look.

Step 4 Finishing off the nail 

Applying a top coat to each nail will prevent any damage or chipping to the nail art. Your next step is to be patient and now use your hand until the entire nail is dry.

Make the most of your tan with Bliss Beauty

Make sure you make the most of your spray tan treatment by following these few steps to prepare for your treatment.

• Before tanning it is advised to wax or tan at least 24 hours prior to the treatment as both of these actions will remove oils and open pores which will leave you with a spotty look.

• Always book your treatment at least 48 hours before any occasion as you tan may look extreme straight after, this will also help the tan settle nicely onto the skin.

• It is highly recommended that before any spray tan that you must exfoliate, if you do not exfoliate or do not create an even base for the tan then it will not sit right on the skin and will look patchy. Again this is recommended to be completed 1 day before as this will give the skin time to settle.

• When exfoliating do not forget the main build up areas for dead skin, these are your elbows, knew and ankles so make sure you exfoliate these evenly.

• On the day of your treatment if you choose to shower or bathe do not use products containing moisturisers , deodorant or makeup as all of these will cause the tan to turn blotchy. It is even known for some deodorants to react with tan making it turn green.

• When you will get to the salon you will need to get into a thong, put on a shower cap, apply some moisturiser to your knees, elbows and ankles and a lot of moisturiser to your nails and palms of your hands to keep them white.

• On the day make sure you wear loose fitting clothes and dark coloured underwear as wearing light or white colours my stain.

• Prepare by bringing either a headband or something to clip your hair out of the way. If you have bleach blonde hair you will instantly see the tan and will dry an orange colour so make sure you have something to cover your hairline too.

Here are the 7 quick steps to the perfects eyebrows;
 

Step1: Your beautician will clear around your eyebrows to get rid of any unwanted makeup, oils and dirt to create a clean area that is ready for the treatment. During the cleansing your beautician will asses your facial shape and eyebrows natural state.

Step 2: Bespoke tint will be applied to the eyebrows and the fine surrounding hairs, this will give your beautician more to work with and a better chance of achieving the perfect brows on your first visit. The tint that is applied is a high pigment solution that will give you a longer lasting result.

Step 3: Using HD Brows guidelines the wax will be applied to both above and below the eyebrow and customised to suit your look.
 Once the wax has been removed with any unwanted hairs to follow, the area is then ready for threading.

Step 4: Threading of the fine fluffy hairs around the brow area will be used to blend into the hair line.

Step 5: Tweezing is then used to tighten the shape of the eyebrow, setting it into a perfect shape.

Step 6: Trimming will then be used to shorten any unnecessary length to the inner corners of the brows.It also helps the hair follicle sit neatly in place

Step 7: Finishing and Aftercare.

In most cases some clients with a lighter eyebrow colour will need a small about of eyebrow pencil or powder applied. This is applied to fill in any unwanted gaps. Lastly Brow Beater will be applied to the entire area to set the newly shaped and tinted brows in place.

   

For HD Brow maintenance bliss Beauty recommend at least 4-6 weeks, this will be when the hair has grown back through and the colour will have faded.

Please be aware that 24 hours prior to your service you will need a skin patch test, this will be a small about of the product/ colour applied to the open are at he the back of your ear or on the inner side to your elbow where the skin is most sensitive. This process is produced just to make sure you are not allergic to the HD Brow Solution.

Another top tip for HD Brows id that you do not use any products that contain AHA’s / fruit acids around the eye area for at least 1 week before and after receiving this treatment, this is because they thin the skin and will make it more sensitive to wax.

Some clients will need a few visits to achieve the best HD brow, this will only be needed if extensive eyebrow plucking has been a part of your routine.
